Learn the best social media recruiting strategies for your organization, reduce your organization’s dependence on job boards, as well as how to evaluate and implement changes to your career site to improve search results.
Sean Self is the President of Self Opportunity and a graduate of the University of North Texas. After several years in restaurant management, Sean formed his company to help the restaurant industry, and all other industries, with revolutionary recruiting solutions. Brian Medina is the Director of National Sales for Self Opportunity and assists Sean in showing hiring managers the latest techniques in interactive recruiting and social media recruiting.
1:20PM—2:20PM “Flexible Workforce Trends: Managing a Contingent Workforce” - Steven Scott, Cornerstone Business Solutions
Identify, recognize and understand the key aspects of a contingent workforce program and how to better source and select third party contingent workforce suppliers. Also, Steven will provide an overview of key metrics associated with measuring the contingent workforce.
Steven Scott has a deep and broad background in procurement, human resources and contingent workforce. Steven has spent half of his career on the supplier side of the industry creating, delivering and managing contingent workforce solutions for his Fortune 100 clients. The other half of his career has been on the client/buyer side of the industry implementing and managing workforce solutions internally.
2:45PM—4:00PM Keynote Speaker: “Leading from the Front: Principled Leadership in Unprincipled Times” - Arvin Combs, Chamberlain Professional Search, Inc.
You will walk away from this session understanding the three worldviews of Western thought, how they impact our culture of “unprincipled times” and the leadership of some organizations. Arvin will also present five foundational leadership principles that can be used to create effective and principled leadership within your organization.
Arvin Combs began his career as a CPA with KPMG and then altered his career path to move into executive recruiting, a change that eventually led to Talent Management where he served as National Director for Recruiting Development/Training for Centex Homes. He is a frequent speaker on the topics of personal development and has a particular passion for “principled leadership.”
